Over the past three decades, Durcon has established its position as the world’s leading manufacturer of laboratory-grade epoxy resin work surfaces and sinks.
Molded from epoxy resin, Durcon products are monolithic in nature. There are on laminates to bubble and crack, and no porosity to allow liquid penetration. Durcon epoxy resin is inert; its molecular structure is highly resistant to reaction with acids or or other laboratory chemicals. Durcon work surfaces are also highly heat resistant, preventing cracking and blistering; other products may show these problems under extreme temperature conditions.
Durcon epoxy resin is molded into sheets of various sizes and shapes; from these sheets, Durcon fabricates counter tops to exact customer specifications. Durcon molds are available to produce flat tops, marine edge tops, and dished fume hood tops. While black epoxy resin tops are most frequently used in labs, Durcon also offers epoxy resin tops in white and gray.
In addition to tops, Durcon makes over 40 different sizes of molded sinks, including single sinks, double-compartment sinks, and lipped sinks. Lipped sinks provide the easiest installation. Durcon also produces several sizes of lipped sinks that are ADA-compliant.
